Portland Boat Crew!

Last weekend saw three of our crews head down to Cape Bridgewater Portland for the VSRL Open Championships.

Anglesea were represented by Open Women “Lightning", Open Men “Pirates" and Under 19 Men “Storm”.

The Lightning were simply outstanding in placing 2nd in one race and two firsts in the next two races. The Storm rowing against Under23’s placed 3rd in U23 and 1st in U19.

Our Pirates were minus their Engine Room with Davis and Manning sunning themselves on the GC. Rambo and Wilbur backed up the U19 races and filled the two empty seats. An outstanding effort however, the boys were seriously outgunned by arguably the best crew in the country, in Lorne.

The weekend was also the State Team selection Event and we are so proud of our Storm crew in U19 and the Lightning in Open Women who have each made the Team.
