Junior Competition Team - Dolphins
Description
Dolphins is a program open to all Club members aged between 6 - 17 years which has a focus on developing essential surf skills and awareness, fitness and self confidence in the surf environment in preparation for surf sports competition. Our goal is to have fun, develop lifelong friendships and learn from current and former top-level competitors who coach the squad. From the Dolphins, Nipper Summer Program and School Term Nipper Program, Anglesea forms the Anglesea Junior Competition Team where young people of varying abilities challenge themselves physically and mentally representing our great Club whilst having great fun in the surf.

Dolphins Training Calendar
Dolphins runs all year round and where possible is held on the first Sunday of every month. During the two week intensive Nipper Summer Program, Dolphins runs afternoon sessions which are open to anyone doing the Summer Program or School Term Program. Background and updated information can be accessed by downloading 'Team App' and subscribing to 'Anglesea SLSC Surf Sports'.

Nipper Surf Carnivals
Over the season the Club nominates 4 local nipper carnivals to attend and we welcome participation in one or all of these. There are additional local carnivals across the season and Nippers are welcome to attend these also, however Life Saving Victoria require us to provide water safety and officials based on competitor numbers and so need notice well ahead of time if competitors would like to compete at these additional carnivals.

The intensive Nipper Summer Program hosts a Club Champs, which is an opportunity for friendly competition in a relaxed Club atmosphere.

The competition year finishes off with the Victorian Junior Lifesaving Championships. Selection for Anglesea teams and certain restricted events will be based on Club Championship and carnival results as per the Anglesea selection policy and selection committee.
