Anglesea SLSC offers several streams of surf education and surf sports:
Nipper Summer Program
An intensive surf education program held over the two weeks following Christmas each year for Club members aged 6 - 13 years on 1st October that year.
School Term Nipper Program
Surf education program generally held during 1st and 4th term after school and on Sundays for Club members aged 6 - 13 years on 1st October that year.
Starfish Nipper Program
An intensive surf education program held in conjunction with the Nipper Summer Program for Club members with special needs.
Junior Surf Sports Program (Dolphins)
Offers competition and training all year round and builds on skills developed during the Nipper Programs.
U14 Nippers (SRC)
Nippers can continue on through the Club to complete their official lifesaving qualifications beginning with their Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC), after which they become Cadet lifesavers. This means they can take part in beach patrols and Water Safety for the Nipper Programs and other ASLSC events and carnivals.
Surf lifesaving is a great activity which can lead to many different opportunities. With the ultimate aim of Anglesea SLSC being to provide a safe aquatic environment, there are many pathways a Nipper can choose once they have completed their Nipper education which can lead to positive life skills which, in turn, leads to personal development and future employment opportunities.
