Anglesea Main Beach is patrolled by volunteer lifesavers and paid lifeguards throughout the summer. Volunteer lifesavers are trained and provided by Anglesea SLSC. Paid lifeguards are trained by Life Saving Victoria and provided by the Surf Coast Shire.

The training of all volunteers and all rescue and first aid equipment is provided by Anglesea SLSC. The Club runs annual fundraisers such as the Rock2Ramp Ocean Swim and Annual Door Knock to fund these services.

Fundraising, donations, sponsorship and community support ensures there are enough qualified lifesavers to patrol the beach over the summer months.
