Trainers & Assessors

All Anglesea SLSC courses and camps are only possible due to the willingness of club members to voluntarily act as trainers and assessors.

These are formal labels used within the broader lifesaving community and indicate not only experience and understanding of the qualification being taught but also in the way in which these program are best delivered.

Trainers

Trainers are members who are qualified and/or otherwise authorised to deliver training activities on behalf of Life Saving Victoria (LSV) for accredited training and/or lifesaving awards. Some trainers will be qualified and authorised to train independently, whilst other will be required to train under supervision.

Assessors are Members who are qualified and/or otherwise authorised to oversee assessment activities on behalf of LSV for accredited training and/or lifesaving awards.

Assessor Certificate (ASC) - The ASC is the minimum qualification required to deliver assessment activities on accredited LSV courses. The term refers to selected units of competency from the (current) national recognised VET Assessor Skills Set (TAESS00111).

Facilitators
