The Beach Warrior course will feature 20 challenging but fun obstacles over a distance of more than 3km and is open to people of all levels of fitness over the age of 12. For those wanting to test themselves there is an opportunity to enter the elite categories and compete for the title of Beach Warrior – South Melbourne Champion! For those wanting to participate and build friendship and team spirit can enter the general section for individuals, teams or family teams of 4 participants. The first event in Victoria is coming to Melbourne and will be set against the backdrop of South Melbourne and Port Melbourne beach

Life Saving Victoria have been undertaking the Lifesaving Capability and Resourcing Review (LCaRR). This was originally going to occur late in 2019 but technical issues prevented this from occurring. Given that peak season has now been completed and these technical issues have been overcome, LSV are proceeding with the project. All club members will receive a direct email from email@example.com asking for them to check their details via clicking an individualised link. Lifesaving Victoria are calling for Expressions of Interest from members for operational support to Ambulance Victoria. LSV has been working with Ambulance Victoria regarding how we might provide operational assistance with first responder activities in accordance with the State Health Emergency & Response Plan. Proposed Activity 1. Crewing Ambulances - LSV would be tasked with pairing up with a paramedic from AV in an emergency ambulance for patient treatment. 2. Patient Management at pre hospital facilities - LSV would be tasked with assisting nursing and ambulance staff located at facilities that are expected to be built adjacent to hospitals to facilitate patient handover to hospitals. Four years ago, Captain Moonlite arrived at the Anglesea Surf Life Saving Club (ASLSC) and set about creating a relaxed eatery in the Ray Marsh Room that encompassed the surf club aesthetic but was updated with modern appeal. They wanted to provide a comfortable and calming environment for members and the local community all year round. To this brief they have delivered in spades and via the leadership of Matt and Gemma club events such as The Annual Beach Party and the Anglesea Carnival lunch have reached new levels of entertainment. Life Saving Victoria is offering the chance to win one of two $100 prepaid Visa cards and all you need to do is complete a short 10 minute survey to provide input into the evaluation for the 2019/20 summer sport season. The survey closes at 11.30pm on Thursday 30th April. The survey is important as it is a key part of the ongoing Monitoring & Evalution Plan for Aquatic Sport at Life Saving Victoria.
