An opportunity exists for an experienced and skilled Sport Event Coordinator to join the LSV Aquatic Sport team to get ready for another big summer. Bring your passion and expertise and make a difference to the water safety and lifesaving industry.

Life Saving Victoria is currently on the search for a Sport Event Coordinator. We are looking for a passionate, organised and motivated individual with experience in events and/or sports administer/manager to bring their enthusiasm and experience to deliver a suite of summer carnivals and sports activities either on a short-term 6-month full-time contract role or ongoing full-time role.

Who are we?

Life Saving Victoria is Victoria's peak water safety and lifesaving organisation and is committed to its mission to prevent aquatic related death and injury across all Victorian communities. LSV is a recognised agency of Emergency Management Victoria and provides emergency response services across the state through its vast network of lifesaving clubs, lifeguards, marine and aerial rescue services. LSV is a Registered Training Organisation, a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and State Sporting Association.

How will this position contribute to Life Saving Victoria’s mission?

Lifesaving Sport is a key strategy for LSV for member attraction, retention and skills development (rescue ready). The Aquatic Sport team facilitates and supports the delivery of competitions and programs for junior, youth, senior and master age-groups, and across a range of disciplines including beach, pool lifesaving and IRB racing, taking place state-wide, interstate and internationally.

Reporting to the Aquatic Sport Manager, the Sport Event Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, administration, operations and execution of the LSV Aquatic Sport summer portfolio of events and programs.

Based in Port Melbourne, with the ability to work partially from regional/remote office locations. It does include regular weekend work with flexibility outside typical business hours. Extensive regional travel will be required.

We are keen to discuss role with members, networks and/or individuals with an interest in either short term contract role to support the lead into to summer and deliver events throughout the summer carnival season or longer-term to deliver our summer carnivals and continue to drive and lead our sport events for the future.
