Food & Beverage services and tender

In response to member feedback, the redeveloped clubhouse will include a number of new food and beverage services beyond the current restaurant operating in the Ray Marsh Room. Over time, this will include improved bar, kiosk and catering offerings. With this in mind, and given Captain Moonlite’s current contract for restaurant services in the Ray Marsh room has expired, all food and beverage services in the new clubhouse will be tendered. The ASLSC Board has encouraged Captain Moonlite to participate in this process and look forward to receiving their proposal given their contribution to the club since 2016. Tender process The tender process will start in the week commencing January 13th and take six to eight weeks to complete with a decision expected mid to late March. ASLSC’s House Committee are leading the process with support from a hospitality industry consultant who is assisting the club to secure and negotiate the best outcome for members on these important services. The process to award this contract(s) in the new clubhouse will involve the House Committee and consultant reviewing suitable applicants and making a recommendation to the ASLSC board who make the decision to appoint. ASLSC encourage all suitably qualified and experienced food and beverage operators to participate in the process. Captain Moonlite ASLSC's board recognise and thank the Captain Moonlite team for what they have created in the Ray Marsh Room and contributed to the club and Anglesea community to date. With the redevelopment currently ahead of schedule Captain Moonlite will be closing earlier than originally anticipated to enable the kitchen works to commence. These works are expected to take 11 weeks and means Captain Moonlite’s last day of trade will be Sunday March 1st or potentially a few days earlier, pending the final builders schedule. Once this is determined members and Social Pass Holders will be advised. Social passes will be put on hold. If you have a booking or voucher please contact Captain Moonlite to discuss your options. The club apologises for this unavoidable inconvenience. Conclusion ASLSC’s aim is to secure a food and beverage offering for the new clubhouse that reflects the needs and wants of members while making a significant and sustainable financial contribution to the club.
