Anglesea Surf Lifesaving Club's 2017/18 Annual General Meeting will be held Sunday 26 August 2018 from 11am at the Club (Ray Marsh Room).
The Club has received the following Notice of Motion. The Club must consider Notices of Motion submitted in accordance with Rule 15.2(b).
Notice 1: Special Resolution
Proposer: Graeme Weber
Seconder: Prudence Weber
That the first sentence of Clause 8.2(g) of the ASLSC Constitution be altered to read as:
"Life membership may only be bestowed upon Members who have completed fifteen (15) years membership and rendered distinguished service to the Association and lifesaving, where such service is deemed to have assisted the advancement of the Association and lifesaving."
Reason: The clause currently states "fifteen (15) years continuousmembership and rendered distinguished service…”.
Proposed to remove the word ‘continuous’. In this day and age people come and go due to circumstances changing yet the person may have given ‘distinguished service’.
