How to gain Awards

Member Development can broadly be thought of in three categories:

  1. Foundation Awards

  2. Advanced Awards

  3. Training and Assessment and Leadership Development.

Anglesea SLSC offers the opportunity for members to gain a number of the awards that fit within the SLSA / LSV Award structure and this take place at different times during both the peak and off season.

All information about the dates and times of courses are published on the courses section of our website and publicised through social media channels (Facebook and Instagram).

Like all other aspects of ASLSC the provision of training and assessment is provided by volunteers who give up their time and expertise to educate their fellow members. For this reason we are keen for members to enter this pathway and we will actively support members to gain and maintain training and assessment qualifications. These skills are highly valued in tertiary education settings and by employers more generally.

All applications will be submitted online (click here for available courses) and members will be required to show a history of and ongoing desire to participate in a broad range of Club activities. To this end, members are encouraged to plan ahead and be involved in as many facets of club life as possible.
