Following are the Minimum patrol hours to be completed by all active members each calendar year (1st January to 31st December):
Cadet Members - 10 hours
Active Junior and Active Senior Members - 16 hours
Reserve Active - 8 hours
All members who intend to compete at either the Victorian or Australian Championships must complete 16 hours of patrol in the calendar year prior to these events, irrespective of membership category.
If these hours are not achieved, you are unable to be entered in the Victorian or Australian Championships.
For members gaining a surf lifesaving award (either Surf Rescue Certificate or Lifesaving Bronze Medallion) for the first time, the requirements to compete at either the Victorian or Australian Championships are as follows:
