Due to the Working With Children Card regulations, we require all parents to become members of the Anglesea SLSC and hold a current WWCC. Parents will become Associate members (unless they wish to take part in beach patrols [Lifesaving Award holders only], in which case they should indicate “Active Senior” on their membership renewal form).
Parents are encouraged to become involved in the Nipper Program by offering regular assistance. At present parents make valuable voluntary contributions to areas such as the Nipper Program, Surf Sport, Carnival Officials, Nipper BBQ, Anglesea Shop and fundraising activities.
Parents are also invited to gain Surf Life Saving awards such as Bronze Medallion, Senior First Aid, Advanced Resuscitation Techniques, Spinal Management, Resuscitation Certificate, IRB Crew/Driver Certificate and Silver Medallion in Beach Management – all relevant to the running of the Nipper Program.
Officials, Coaching and Age Group Managing accreditations can be gained to assist with both the Nipper Program and at carnivals.
