The Patrol Season

The first day of the patrol season for Anglesea SLSC is usually the last weekend in November and concludes on Easter Monday. The patrol start and finish times vary throughout the season. The various times are detailed on the patrol roster. It is your responsibility to take note of these differing times.

The Club is REQUIRED to provide fully qualified patrols on ALL Saturday afternoons, Sundays and Public Holidays during the season. A fully qualified patrol includes a minimum of 4 patrolling members, 3 of whom must hold a Bronze Medallion. Included in the minimum awards are IRB crew, IRB Driver, Advanced Resuscitation Techniques, Spinal Management, Senior First Aid and Silver Medallion Basic Beach Management. These minimum patrol requirements also apply to all Nipper Program sessions and Nipper training.

You MUST requalify your lifesaving awards every year before 31st December. The theory component of your requalification must be completed online PRIOR to the practical session. A copy of the completed certificate should be presented at the practical session. Practical Skills Maintenance sessions take place during November and December at Anglesea SLSC, Jan Juc SLSC, and Torquay SLSC in our region. Keep an eye on the Green & White Broadsheet for dates and venues.
