ASR

Anglesea Surf Rescue (ASR) was first introduced in 1999 and provides a flexible framework to satisfy the patrol obligations of the majority of members.

The ASR objectives are to:

• Improve patrolling standards;
• Assist in the early identification of patrol leaders;
• Promote increased life saving award numbers; and
• Provide flexibility in scheduling

Those members that commit to ASR are assigned to a specific patrol for the season and allocated particular patrol dates. These members are expected to have greater knowledge and qualification than normal patrol members.

Further details are available from the Director, Life Saving Services.
