Club Training - Winter 2009

Over the past decade or so it has been hard to get all our competition team together and working in the same direction. Just to get people turning up to training sessions has been a challenge.

The strength of our club and competition team needs to be a willingness to work together as a “team”. Therefore we are asking all competitors to make the effort to get to Anglesea once a month – the first Sunday of every month, to participate in a club training session. These sessions will commence at 10am so make sure that you arrive by 9.30am.

The focus of the sessions will be to do some group training where competitors from all sections train together. The sessions will involve a group run and core session with the emphasis being on doing things together having fun, rather than the intensity of training.

All the sessions listed below are followed by Polar Bears at noon and a BBQ lunch ($5).

From November 1st, there will be Club training every Sunday morning at 10am when there are not carnivals.

Dates for Club Sessions at Anglesea Pre-season 2009

 August 2nd Run/Core
September 13th Club Training @ Mentone Starting 10.00am
October 11th Run/Core – Followed by section training
November 1st Run/Core – Followed by section training

 What to Bring:

  • Running gear (some runs will be in the bush so make sure you bring footwear)
  • Water bottle
  • Wetsuit and swim wear
  • Money for the BBQ
