Anglesea SLSC has provided a community service to residents and visitors since 1952. This has been done by ordinary people often risking their own life to save someone they’ve never met.
To support the long term viability of the Club, the Anglesea SLSC Foundation was created in 1992. The Foundation, administered by five Trustees, has the objective of providing a long term financial basis for the ongoing development of the Club and its facilities.
Monies received by the Foundation are placed in a Trust Fund and come from private donations, bequests and contributions from the proceeds from the Door Knock and Rock2Ramp swim.
Trust moneys must be invested and the income from these investments is used to assist in supporting the Club. In 2008 the Trust Fund stands at $280,000 and in excess of $60,000 has been contributed back to the Club to support a range of purchases from life saving equipment to Nipper facilities to equipment for the office and café.
In order to continue the expansion of the Trust Fund to allow it to support your Club, you are invited to become a Friend of the Foundation by committing to a regular contribution to the Trust Fund.
Please also consider the possibility of supporting the Anglesea SLSC Foundation via a bequest. You are always welcome to visit the Club at anytime.
